About the position

The Therapeutic Area Manager (TAM) for Cross Portfolio Oncology at Genentech is responsible for understanding and addressing the needs of healthcare practitioners in the oncology therapeutic area. This role involves optimizing business strategies within the local ecosystem, providing healthcare providers with information about Genentech products, and collecting insights to support national strategies. The TAM serves as the primary contact for customers, driving clinical and non-clinical decision-making, and ensuring product access and education on appropriate use and patient assistance resources.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and address healthcare practitioners' needs in oncology.
  • Optimize business strategies within the local ecosystem.
  • Provide healthcare providers with information about Genentech products.
  • Collect insights and trends to support national strategy at a local level.
  • Drive clinical and non-clinical decision-making at the point of care.
  • Develop solutions for complex accounts within and across ecosystems.
  • Ensure product access and provide education on product information and patient assistance resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, scientific, or clinical field.
  • 6 or more years of experience in a sales role with healthcare practitioners.
  • Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and mentor peers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Oncology experience, ideally in Lung, Breast, and/or Hematology.
  • Consistently achieved financial and quantitative targets.
  • Proficient in addressing operational issues related to healthcare product delivery.
