About The Position

The Testing Engineer position at Schaeffler involves conducting validation and verification activities for various products and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and one (1) or more years of practical experience.
• Experience in functional safety of mechatronic development.
• Experience in risk analysis and design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA).
• Experience in presenting engineering topics and moderating discussions.
• Experience in solving engineering problems.
• Understanding of vehicle powertrain architectures and components.
• Basic understanding of electric machines and controls of hydraulics and heat transfer.
• Understanding of modelling and simulating mechanical, electric, or mechatronic development.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all activities required for validation & verification (V&V) for products and contained systems.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of a suitable verification and validation strategy at defined integration levels.
• Implements verification and validation activities in accordance with given standards, including testing of virtual or physical objects.
• Facilitates the exchange of development-related information and collaboration with internal/external development partners.
• Applies given verification or validation processes, such as those from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
