Trade Support Specialist

About the position

Trillium is seeking a Trade Support Specialist to provide critical support to our traders while also serving as a product support specialist for upcoming proprietary suite products. This hybrid role will be split evenly between trade support responsibilities and product support specialization, helping traders understand and effectively utilize the features of new trading tools. Additionally, Trillium offers opportunities for guided internal mentorship, allowing the Trade Support Specialist to learn directly from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• 50% - Trade Support, covering shifts within 4 AM – 8 PM trading hours (Shifts will mostly start at ~8:00 AM EST and last eight hours)
• 50% - Product Support Specialist for proprietary suite products
• Provide real-time assistance to traders, troubleshooting and resolving trading-related issues efficiently
• Track short positions and secure locates when necessary to ensure compliance with trading regulations
• Manage vendor communications regarding clearing and pre-borrows
• Notify traders of potential buy-ins, coordinate resolutions, and update position records
• Assist traders in exiting positions
• Monitor restricted stock lists and overnight stock restrictions
• Track and process corporate actions, including IPOs, stock splits, and dividends, ensuring accurate records and trader notifications
• Liaise between traders, executing firm, and clearing firm
• Act as a subject matter expert for proprietary trading products
• Collaborate with internal teams to support product development, testing, and implementation
• Support traders on product functionality, product best practices, and product updates
• Liaise between Quality Assurance and Traders
• Gather feedback from traders to enhance product usability and performance
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the new trading products

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, technology, or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with traders, developers, and external vendors
• High attention to detail and the ability to track and document multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and processes through guided internal mentorship
• Familiarity with trading platforms and market operations is a plus

• The reasonably estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 + Additional Bonus if applicable
