About the position

This position is responsible for managing a comprehensive trailer and storage unit program for corporate real estate and operating unit projects. The role involves overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of office trailers and storage units, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and optimizing the portfolio for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the installation and decommissioning of office trailers and storage units, including utility hook-ups and furniture setup
  • Ensuring compliance with local jurisdiction requirements and managing permitting processes for new and existing units
  • Conducting bi-monthly inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper servicing of trailers
  • Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for trailer and storage unit suppliers
  • Developing quarterly business cases to identify opportunities for asset reduction or replacement based on utilization and economics
  • Maintaining and updating portfolio databases, dashboards, and lease administration systems
  • Overseeing the furnishing of manned trailers and identifying opportunities to replace rental furniture with company-owned assets
  • Preparing regular portfolio performance reports for senior leadership and operating units
  • Collaborating with operating units and vendors to optimize the trailer and storage unit portfolio

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in an internal Corporate Real Estate environment managing leases and mobile trailer programs
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in database management and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of local permitting processes and regulations related to temporary structures

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications or memberships from professional organizations such as PMI, BOMA, IFMA, or CoreNet Global
  • Experience in cost reduction strategies and portfolio optimization
  • Familiarity with corporate real estate operations and facility management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
