About the position

The Training Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating custom training deliverables to support new programs, system processes, technology releases, and firm initiatives. This role involves collaborating with business and technology owners to understand project details, conducting needs assessments, and designing a robust training curriculum that meets defined learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Meet with business and technology owners to understand project details and downstream impacts to existing processes
• Conduct needs assessment based on impact across audiences
• Define learning objectives and goals for success
• Map these to the appropriate learning modality to build a robust training curriculum
• Design and develop training of all forms including videos, e-learning courses, quick reference materials, and instructor-led training
• Establish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Business Leaders, SMEs, and Product Team members
• Load courseware to a Content Management System, interlinking content to internal and external content as needed
• Document workflow processes end to end for on the job performance support
• Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in their work

Requirements

• Experience in instructional design and training development
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and define learning objectives
• Proficiency in various training modalities including e-learning and instructor-led training
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Content Management Systems
• Familiarity with video production and editing
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
