About the position

The Training Manager at Georgia-Pacific is responsible for supporting the learning and development needs across multiple manufacturing facilities in the United States. This role involves developing training programs and learning plans to meet business goals, analyzing metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions, and providing coaching to facility learning and development providers. The position requires significant collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment between business priorities and strategic learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with manufacturing leaders and site trainers to align business priorities with the strategic learning plan.
  • Conduct ongoing learning needs analysis to design and develop role-specific and site-specific learning strategies.
  • Provide professional development support for site-learning and development team members, including guidance on updating training content and identifying future training needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and develop role-specific training and learning content across various product lines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and update outdated training and learning content.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment supporting organizational development.
  • Experience communicating with various stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Experience in designing and executing successful learning programs aligned with strategic business goals using diverse learning modalities.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple learning projects simultaneously.
  • Experience coaching and supporting the professional development of learning professionals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing and supporting training professionals.
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning methodologies and their application in creating impactful learning experiences.
  • Experience developing annual training plans and materials at scale.
  • Experience using project management tools like SmartSheet.
