About the position

GDIT is seeking a Training Support Package (TSP) Developer to join our team supporting the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program for the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) located in Daleville, Alabama. As a TSP Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of multi-echelon orders and training products that facilitate the tactical deployment of Army aviation assets. This position requires a deep understanding of Army aviation training scenarios and the ability to assist customers in achieving their training objectives effectively. In this role, you will demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and conduct formal briefings for senior Army officers and other personnel. You will be responsible for performing Intelligence Preparation of Battlefield (IPB) and managing the military orders production process. Your expertise will be essential in developing and maintaining doctrinal orders and products that align with the Army's Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) to support unclassified simulation exercises. You will work in various simulation environments, utilizing computer simulation technologies to create and manage a virtual operational environment for military mission training. Your military experience will guide realistic training scenarios, allowing you to roleplay various military entities, including ground forces and Opposing Forces. You will coordinate with course instructors to synchronize events in missions, inject mission changes, and record key events for After Action Review (AAR). This position is vital for ensuring that training programs are effective and meet the needs of the Army's aviation community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in the development and execution of Army Aviation training scenarios to meet training objectives.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Conduct formal briefings for senior army officers and other personnel.
  • Perform Intelligence Preparation of Battlefield (IPB) and military orders production process.
  • Develop and maintain doctrinal orders and products that adhere to the Army's Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE).
  • Support unclassified simulation exercises in a variety of simulation environments.
  • Use computer simulation technologies to create and manage a virtual operational environment for military mission training.
  • Utilize U.S. Army Military experience to guide realistic training and roleplay various military entities.
  • Coordinate with course instructors on synchronizing events in missions and recording key events for After Action Review (AAR).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6 years of military-related experience required.
  • Experience on Battalion Staff or higher.
  • Familiarization with Army DOTD publications and directives.
  • Knowledge of doctrinal, tactical, technical, and conceptual aspects of aviation tactics.
  • Working knowledge of development of multi-echelon military orders and associated annexes.
  • Military experience, including Command Post (CP) experience.
  • Working knowledge of Command Post Systems (CPOF/CPCE).
  • Ability to read/comprehend written and verbal mission expectations and guide junior personnel with experience and work guidance.
  • Review and edit all doctrinal and technical documents and manuscripts produced, rewriting sentences to correct grammatical and typographical errors, misspelled words, improve structure, and enhance clarity of presentation.
  • Experience in training development and tactical deployment of aviation.
  • Knowledge of current Army airframes and general capabilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to develop training programs and procedures.
  • Good presentation skills, both in person and in distance learning.
  • Good interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Maneuver, Logistics, UAS, or Air Defense military background.
  • Graduate of Captain's Career Course or higher.
  • Ability to work in a variety of simulation environments including but not limited to OneSAF.
  • Combat experience or combination of National Training Center (NTC) or Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) deployments.
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
