About The Position

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver at Life Care Centers of America is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients within the facility. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, maintenance of vehicles, and excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for patients. The position also involves compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining professional relationships with staff and vendors.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards.
• CDL Required.
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and unload patients.
• Complete pre-inspections before use of the vehicle.
• Monitor regular maintenance of the vehicle, including oil changes and tire rotations.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Maintain professional working relationships with all associates and vendors.
• Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
