About the position

The Transportation Engineering Project Manager will lead multiple transportation projects, primarily for MDOT, ensuring effective management of project teams, budgets, and schedules. This role involves business development, mentoring other project managers, and participating in workshops and meetings to foster relationships with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects, prepare and monitor budgets, project scheduling, etc.
• Perform business development to maintain and grow our relationship with the MDOT clients and teaming partners
• Participate at MDOT workshops, meetings, and events
• Mentor Senior Project Managers, or other Project Managers, in developing work scopes, budgets, and staff assignments
• Provide support and project lead for planning, design, and reporting on various transportation projects
• Manage project teams, schedules, and budgets for various projects, primarily for MDOT.

Requirements

• 15+ years of MDOT design experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
• Willingness to travel throughout Michigan for business development and project meetings
• Comfortable speaking at client and public events.
