About the position
The Transportation Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs is responsible for overseeing the organization, staffing, and direction of the transportation area to ensure timely delivery of catering services. This role involves managing a team in a fast-paced production environment, focusing on quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed to meet delivery times.
- Conduct daily work group meetings to align team efforts.
- Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies' standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP.
- Document and follow up on all department processes to implement improvements.
- Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge required.
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience required.
- Problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and lead others to achieve productivity goals.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
