About the position

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Towson, MD. This position is designed for a 13-week duration, starting on September 23, 2024, and offers a competitive pay range of $895 to $1,078 per week. In this role, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members. You will monitor patients' responses to interventions, administer medications as ordered, and document all actions appropriately. The position requires you to evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. Additionally, you will share on-call responsibilities, maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies. Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
  • Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
  • Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
  • Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
  • Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
  • Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
  • Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Transports patients as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One to three years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.
  • Must have a valid LPN/LVN license in the state where they will be practicing.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Critical thinking and service excellence skills are essential.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
  • PC skills are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing is preferred.
  • Additional certifications may be required for this position.
