About the position

Infojini Healthcare I is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Saranac Lake, New York. The role involves performing gross descriptions, dissections, and processing of biopsies and tissue specimens under the supervision of a Pathologist or Pathology Supervisor. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a current NYS license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Medical Technologist, or Histotechnologist.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform gross descriptions and dissections of biopsies and tissue specimens.
• Process routine and moderate complexity tissue specimens according to established protocols.
• Participate in limited technical activities of the Pathology department, such as accessioning and staining.
• Maintain routine maintenance and prepare cytology specimens.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science.
• Current NYS license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Histotechnologist (HTL).
• 1+ years of grossing experience.
