ALOIS Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing position in Hermiston, Oregon. This role is critical as it involves providing care to acutely and critically ill patients in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. The patients in this unit are facing life-threatening conditions that require extensive medication protocols and therapies, making the role of the Critical Care Nurse vital to their recovery and well-being. The position is set to start on July 10, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks. Nurses will be expected to work 36 hours per week, with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during the night. Responsibilities

  • Provide care to acutely and critically ill patients in the CCU.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
  • Administer medications and therapies as per established protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Oregon or compact state.
  • Experience in Critical Care Nursing, specifically in CCU or ICU settings.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is preferred.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
