About the position
Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry/PCU for a full-time position in Avon, IN. The role involves providing care in a stepdown unit, focusing on telemetry and cardiac patients. The position requires a commitment to work 48 hours per week on a 4x12 day shift schedule, with every other weekend required. This is a 13-week travel assignment, ideal for experienced nurses looking to expand their skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a telemetry/stepdown unit.
- Monitor and manage cardiac drips and telemetry patients.
- Float to MedSurg as needed, potentially caring for up to 6 patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.
Requirements
- Current IN/Compact RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- 3+ years of experience in telemetry nursing
- Experience with cardiac drips and conscious sedation preferred
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with NIH Stroke Scale
- Previous travel nursing experience
