NuWest Travel Nursing is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for an exciting travel nursing opportunity in Oregon City, Oregon. This position is designed for a registered nurse with a passion for maternal and child health, who is ready to take on the challenges and rewards of working in a dynamic hospital environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during labor and delivery. The travel nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patients throughout the labor process, and provide education and support to families. The travel nurse will be expected to work 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, over a duration of 13 weeks. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, with specific charting experience in EPIC required to ensure seamless integration into the hospital's electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
  • Monitor the health and progress of patients throughout the labor process.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support families regarding the labor and delivery process.
  • Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation of patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Specific charting experience required in EPIC.
