About the position
Health Carousel Nursing & Allied Health is seeking Travel RNs for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units at a facility in Rochester, New York. This full-time contract position offers flexible shifts, including night and rotating day/night options, with a pay rate of $2,312 weekly or $9,248 monthly. The role is ideal for both new travelers and those looking for assignments close to home, with a focus on providing quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, Epic.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
Requirements
- Valid RN License in New York State.
- BLS Certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Telemetry nursing is preferred.
