About the position

The Travel Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing and educating employees about vision benefit programs and wellness initiatives across a large district. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to interact effectively with employees in a customer-facing capacity. The position involves significant travel to various school locations to provide support and information regarding vision care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Handle walk-in traffic with benefit questions
  • Handle benefit phone calls from employees regarding vision plan
  • Travel to schools (approximately 500 locations) throughout the district to educate employees on benefits programs and wellness
  • Attend Health Fairs & Open Enrollment Events
  • Work on eligibility exception reports
  • Work on reconciliation reports
  • Handle paperwork for COBRA applicants
  • Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the administration of vision care plans
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to serve in a customer-facing role
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to school locations
