About the position
The Collision Repair Appraiser at Penske is responsible for writing collision repair estimates and ensuring superior customer relations. This role requires strong communication skills and a working knowledge of body shop operations, with a focus on completing repair estimates using the Adjustrite system and communicating effectively with both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Write collision repair estimates using the Adjustrite system and download them into Summit.
- Maintain superior customer relations and communicate effectively with customers.
- Manage people and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of body shop estimating experience required.
- Estimator Certification required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Strong written/oral communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills are required.
- Ability to adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with body shop maintenance operations.
