About the position
As a local Delivery Driver at Suburban Propane, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering fuel safely and efficiently to customers' homes and businesses. This role emphasizes customer service, vehicle maintenance, and the use of technology for inventory management, all while ensuring a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fuel locally (home every night) in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain the delivery truck, including reviewing maintenance records, performing inspections, and reporting vehicle conditions requiring attention
- Provide superior customer service
- Account for funds and inventory using a user-friendly handheld terminal
Requirements
- Minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements
- Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce
- Ability to lift and pull equipment weighing 50 to 75 pounds
- Exceptional customer service skills
