Turf Crew - Saratoga

About the position

The Turf Crew position at The New York Racing Association, Inc. is a seasonal full-time role based in Saratoga Springs, New York. The position is temporary, lasting from April 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physical tasks related to groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Replace, fill divots and holes for racetrack using seed/soil mix
• Install portable lightweight plastic turf rails using post pounders
• Use long tape measures and paint to mark the area
• Operate zero turn, walk-behind mowers, trimmers, and turf rollers near thoroughbred horses

Requirements

• 3 months of experience required
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather
