The Integrated Office Services - Mail Room/Store Clerk position at Northrop Grumman involves managing daily operations related to mail and parcel distribution within multiple facilities. The role requires coordination with transportation services, handling sales and cashier functions at the Employee Store, and ensuring accurate delivery of internal mail. This position is essential for maintaining efficient communication and logistics within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute internal mail and parcels from the material distribution center (MDC).
  • Coordinate pick up and deliveries with transportation services drivers.
  • Utilize handheld scanners for tracking incoming materials and inter-building parcel movement.
  • Input customer/source information into the shipping/tracking system software.
  • Resolve recipient/location discrepancies with Northrop Grumman employees for timely internal delivery.
  • Perform routine visual inspections of all incoming mail/parcels.
  • Maintain general knowledge of Northrop Grumman facilities and mailstops/room structure.
  • Handle sales and cashier functions associated with the Employee Store.
  • Reconcile and maintain records of store transactions as required.
  • Determine acceptability of cash, checks, credit cards, and other transactional funds.
  • Coordinate merchandise and ticket sales between sector employee stores.
  • Prepare inventory lists of merchandise and accessories for management.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of equivalent work experience in a business environment.
  • Working knowledge of mail delivery and sorting processes.
  • General knowledge of working in a store environment.
