About the position

The UCSB Campus Concessions and Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing event preparation, production, and supervision of student staff within the Concessions department. This role includes product ordering, stocking, invoicing, and collaborating with the Campus Catering department for event planning, particularly during the summer conference season.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee event preparation and set up for concessions and catering events.
  • Supervise and train student staff in the Concessions department.
  • Manage product ordering and inventory stocking.
  • Handle invoicing and billing processes.
  • Plan and coordinate events in collaboration with the Campus Catering department.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and communication during events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience in restaurant, retail, or institutional food service operations.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple events effectively.
  • Proven ability to train, schedule, and supervise student staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work standing for up to 8 hours per day.
