We're looking for Construction Laborers, based out of Raleigh, NC, to join our team and help connect America. As an Underground Construction Laborer, you will perform tasks associated with the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling. This role involves hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools, climbing into and out of various types of equipment such as trucks, cars, backhoes, and trenchers, and operating or working around heavy equipment and machinery. You will often work in congested or remote areas, maintaining visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement. Additionally, you will perform general construction work under the direction of a Foreman or Supervisor, which includes flagging, property or worksite restoration, and maintaining safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and have prior experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry. A valid driver's license is required, and you should be able to operate various types of utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and employees. The role requires the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, with or without assistance. You should be willing to work as needed, including overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call, and be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks associated with installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling

Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States for this company
- Prior experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry
- Currently have a valid driver's license
- Able to operate various types of utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools in a safe manner
- Ability to follow directions and produce quality work
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Willingness to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call) and in all weather conditions
