Essential duties and responsibilities include underwriting expertise, portfolio management, and sales & distribution management. Underwriting expertise involves reviewing applications and financial requirements to determine the acceptability of risk in accordance with CNA's guidelines and standards. You will need to understand pricing components and rating methodology, utilizing predictive modeling tools to price risk based on financial and competitive analysis. Portfolio management requires managing an assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, product mix, new business, and portfolio management goals. You will prioritize time and resources to effectively manage and optimize producer performance while identifying cross-sell opportunities. In terms of sales and distribution management, you will build and maintain rigorous sales practices using all CNA systems, develop producer relationships to build a pipeline, and drive performance to meet and exceed results. You will also proactively identify cross-sell opportunities and partner with other underwriters to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions for customers.
