The Universal Banker at Olympia Federal Savings & Loan Association is a pivotal role responsible for the opening, processing, and servicing of various types of savings and deposit accounts. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, utilizing business development skills, and maintaining account retention through prompt and courteous interactions with customers. The Universal Banker will efficiently and accurately conduct both basic and complex new accounts and teller transactions, ensuring that all operations align with the Association's policies and procedures. In this role, the Universal Banker will apply a comprehensive understanding of both teller and lead teller positions, assisting in these areas as needed. They will be tasked with opening and processing new account documentation in accordance with the Association's policies, including adherence to the customer identification program. Additionally, the Universal Banker will be responsible for researching and preparing savings Verifications of Deposits in a timely manner, as well as preparing savings account loan documentation as requested. The position may also involve performing notary services, acting as an Association check signer, and managing returned items, vault operations, cash management, and safe deposit boxes. The Universal Banker will also participate in daily balancing and cash replenishment of ATMs, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and under dual control. A key aspect of this role is cross-selling the Association's products and services, thereby contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization. The Universal Banker must follow all Association policies and procedures diligently, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
