Responsibilities

• Assessment: Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Implementation: Implements the identified plan and interventions in a safe, timely, appropriate manner.
• Evaluation: Evaluates the patient's progress towards attainment of the outcome and revises the plan of care as necessary.
• Collaboration: Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Diagnosis: Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Outcomes Identification: Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
• Planning: Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Quality of Practice: Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Education: Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
• Professional Practice Evaluation: Evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards.
• Collegiality: Contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others.
• Ethics: Acts in an ethical manner and maintains a therapeutic and professional patient-nurse relationship.
• Research: Integrates research findings in practice.
• Resource Utilization: Incorporates factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in planning and delivering patient care.
• Leadership: Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
• Environmental Health: Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
• Charge Nurse: Demonstrates ability to coordinate and direct unit operation when acting in this role.

Requirements

• Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• 1 year of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency department experience
