About the position

The position involves overseeing and managing a specific area of responsibility within Walmart Logistics, focusing on productivity, quality, and safety standards. The role requires effective communication with associates, customers, and suppliers, as well as the implementation of business plans and monitoring of performance metrics. The individual will also be responsible for training and developing associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
• Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling.
• Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing and/or analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on policies and procedures.
• Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns and determine corrective actions.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate with others to ensure that equipment is available for scheduled maintenance.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year Walmart Logistics experience OR 1 year transportation experience.
