About the position

As a Meat Department Lead at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for driving sales and supervising a team of associates in the meat department. Your role will involve ensuring that the department meets company standards for quality and compliance while providing excellent service to members. You will collaborate with other team leaders to enhance the overall club experience and engage with members to help them make informed product selections.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the meat department team to achieve business goals and ensure member satisfaction.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of meat department operations, product specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Utilize digital tools to enhance sales, improve shopping experiences, and engage associates.
• Drive business results by maintaining operational excellence and a clean, safe work environment.
• Identify training needs and develop skills within the team to deliver high-quality products.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to implement processes that meet business needs.
• Promote compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Requirements

• 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

• Meat processing experience, including boneless and bone-in products.
• Supervising Associates experience.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
