About the position

As an Associate productivity and pricing staff automation engineer, you will be responsible for continuously learning and increasing adoption of DevOps best practices by socializing across the organization. You will help engineering teams to build highly observable and resilient systems, perform performance engineering for mobile apps using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling, and have hands-on triaging skills to debug and automate Rest API issues. Collaboration with developers to capture requirements and understand their pain points is essential. You will build reusable tools, libraries, and dashboards for use across DevOps/SRE teams, create new self-service solutions to enhance automation capabilities, and generate proper designs and documentation to present to stakeholders. Using Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) to organize project deliverables, track and report progress, and support operations while meeting reliability and capacity requirements will be part of your role. You will also be responsible for timely root cause analysis of production issues, developing reusable tooling and processes to improve customer experience and lower operational costs, and driving the product roadmap, sprint planning, and quarterly objectives to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of hands-on related infrastructure, performance and API automation experience.
  • Strong experience with development in Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience building tools/dashboards as a full stack developer.
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform preferred (AWS/GCP is also acceptable).
  • Expertise in tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible/Chef/Puppet.
  • Strong knowledge of GIT.
  • Strong experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Strong working experience with containers and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh like Istio.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools automation.
  • Good experience with networking concepts and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, Telnet, SSH, Firewall, VPN, Routing and Load Balancing).
  • Good experience with Linux and open source software.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience with logging solutions like Splunk, ELK.
  • Experience with code-quality and automated testing (Sonar, JUnit, Selenium or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • System Design & Architecture knowledge to build/support highly scalable & available apps.
  • Experience of doing load/performance tests and other non-functional testing.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
  • Experience with API standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
  • Experience with chaos testing.
