About The Position

The USDA Business Development Officer, Sr. is responsible for marketing a comprehensive range of banking services to businesses eligible for United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Business Program loans. This role emphasizes client interaction, loan origination, and financial analysis, working closely with customers and market partners to provide complex loan solutions, including those associated with SBA and other government loan guarantee programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of Business/Commercial lending experience

• USDA loan originating experience
• Familiarity with Commercial loan underwriting systems

• Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor

Responsibilities

• Focuses on transactions in the USDA Business Program lending space offering both USDA Business & Industry loans as well as USDA REAP Loan options with typical amounts ranging from $4MM - $50MM.
• Develops networks and cultivates Centers of Influence to uncover opportunities to provide access to capital.
• Reviews financial statements and supporting documents and works closely with USDA and conventional credit partners to provide solutions to the client's loan needs.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and offices to provide proper and fair solutions for the client's loan needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
