About the position

We are looking for a user assistance developer or technical writer to join our user assistance team, which is part of our Product Services organization. Our team includes colleagues based in Germany, China, and India. You'll be an integral part of product teams in the Quote-to-Cash engineering organization that develop for our Cloud ERP products.
Responsibilities
- Create user assistance (UA) deliverables (both text and multimedia) in close collaboration with your development teams, UX designers, UA architects, UA leads, and other stakeholders to enable users to deploy, administer, and use SAP software
- Ensure that UA deliverables are of high quality, adhere to standards and guidelines, and are written in the appropriate style and tone for your product and audience
- Act as an advocate for user experience
- Plan and coordinate the UA deliverables for your development teams, according to product standards
- Participate in projects to improve UA tools, processes, and content
- Participate in SAP-wide UA meetings and UA meetings for your product
Requirements
- A university degree in technical communication or a related subject or a language-based university degree
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Experience in technical writing
- Experience in working in a commercial environment
- The ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
- Outstanding communication, writing, and grammar skills
- The ability to work to tight deadlines, deliver on time, and ensure high quality
- Flexibility and a readiness to communicate with other team members and to participate in knowledge transfer
- A willingness to acquire extensive product knowledge and learn new skills at short notice
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience of MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint
- Experience with versioning or content management systems
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAP CPQ is a plus
