The Quarterly Variable Compensation (QVC) Technical Analyst is responsible for updating, testing, and deployment of our Varicent Compensation Tool. Working with the administration team to gather requirements and turn them into executed plans within the system. We are seeking an analyst who has experience with Varicent Software configuration and has built plans, reporting, and workflows within Varicent. This position will report to the Associate Director in charge of the Varicent Software for UHC. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. The role involves designing, building, maintaining, and extending data models within the Varicent ICM platform. You will provide assistance to team members and users in solving application-related problems, such as the integration of plan designs within the Varicent ICM system or reporting dashboards to display plan status. Additionally, you will analyze requirements, plan and design system tables/components using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering. Your responsibilities will also include planning and executing appropriate testing (e.g., test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications. You will review and analyze applications, including performance results, to provide enhancement recommendations and process improvements. Resolving complex technical problems in all areas of your assigned products by troubleshooting incidents, collecting detailed problem descriptions, traces, and log files, and replicating issues will be part of your daily tasks. Regular communication with leadership on the progress of your investigations or any other assigned work is expected, along with cross-collaboration with other developers and peers. Sharing best practices for the utilization and deployment of Varicent products across the enterprise is essential. You will build Varicent reports according to user requirements and needs, maintain the latest capabilities of Varicent V10, and manage documentation of requirements, technical specifications, and end-user guides. Ensuring the completion of tasks, milestones, and components, including functional specifications, design specifications, configurations, quality assurance, implementations, and project reviews, is crucial. You will also work with clients to troubleshoot production issues and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
