About the position

The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 computer system and ensuring proper handling of vehicles received at the auction. This role involves direct interaction with vehicles, data entry, and adherence to safety protocols, all while working in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a commitment to safety and teamwork, as well as the ability to perform various tasks related to vehicle registration and auction processes.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or provide information via headset for data entry.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars and direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed and take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver of the vehicle.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
• Assist on sale days driving vehicles through auction sales lanes as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Generally less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license required; safe drivers needed.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending.

Nice-to-haves

• 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
