About the position

The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I at Cox Automotive is responsible for accurately processing vehicle information at the auction, ensuring that all data is entered correctly and that vehicles are properly identified and documented. This role involves direct interaction with vehicles, requiring a commitment to safety and collaboration with team members to facilitate smooth operations during vehicle registration and auction processes.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or provide information via headset for data entry.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag 'no key' cars and direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed and take digital images of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the driver of the vehicle.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
• Assist on sale days by driving vehicles through auction sales lanes as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Generally less than 2 years' experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently; and lift 1-15 pounds.
