About the position
Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is seeking honorably discharged or soon-to-be discharged military veterans to join our team as Automotive Technicians. As a Vehicle Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our service center. Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, performing essential automotive services such as oil changes and filter replacements, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position offers the opportunity for rapid advancement, with 95% of our upper-level management having started in entry-level positions. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for any potential issues or areas that require attention.
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks.
- Keep track of inventory and ensure all supplies are readily available.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- At least 6 months automotive experience and/or one year of retail shift leader/key holder experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Basic computer knowledge/aptitude.
