About the position

The Vet-Med Operations Manager at Wellhaven Pet Health is responsible for providing leadership and direction in overseeing operational initiatives across hospitals. This role involves developing and supporting Practice Managers to enhance medical quality and service, while maximizing efficiency and profitability. The manager will collaborate with internal leadership to ensure timely acquisition and integration of practices, focusing on customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate progress, impact, and budget for each hospital and develop action plans with departmental leaders.
• Plan and execute the integration of newly affiliated practices.
• Continuously measure and improve practice plans, offering process improvement solutions.
• Provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers.
• Align resources to integrate practices into the larger organization.
• Onboard Practice Managers on client service and operational tools.
• Accountable for P&L responsibility for the market.
• Drive KPI performance through data and best practices.
• Support the rollout of WellHaven initiatives and systems.
• Facilitate training initiatives and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Five or more years of relevant experience in operations management.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory role.
• 2+ years of project management experience in a work environment.
• Experience in the pet health or healthcare industry is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the veterinary space in the Seattle market.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software systems.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for computer hardware and systems.
