About the position

The Vibration Analyst position at Eastern Industrial Automation, Inc. involves performing data collection and analysis of vibration data to support the local sales staff and existing customer base. The role requires evaluating machinery health and conducting failure analysis to determine root causes of equipment failures. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with rotating equipment, as well as the ability to interface with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform vibration data collection, vibration data analysis, and timely reporting of machine condition findings.
• Perform routine and emergent data collection needs for a diverse customer base.
• Evaluate machinery health and condition of all types of rotating equipment through detailed analysis of vibration data.
• Conduct failure analysis of rotating equipment to determine root causes of failure and help determine solutions to prevent reoccurrences.
• Perform supportive services such as laser alignment, dynamic balancing, and oil analysis.
• Perform troubleshooting of equipment and instrumentation related to data collection systems.
• Perform select field services such as changing sheaves and belts.
• Interface with existing key company stakeholders to grow business.

Requirements

• Proven experience including certification of ISO category one or equivalent preferred with machinery vibration analysis.
• Minimum of two years experience in vibration data analysis.
• Knowledge of vibration data and analysis techniques.
• Experience interfacing with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working around rotating equipment.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the local designated market areas.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with machine learning and innovation in machinery health assessments is preferred.
