About the position
The Vice President of Advanced Product Marketing and Innovation at Daikin Comfort Technologies will lead the maturation of new products and services in North America, focusing on inverters, heat pumps, refrigerant control, and AI/IOT technologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring market adoption and leveraging company technology to create a competitive advantage. The VP will collaborate with various local and global teams to deliver unique value and drive strategic initiatives that align with market trends and regulatory incentives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maturation of new products and services into North America.
- Ensure effective market adoption and regulatory compliance for Daikin technologies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver value.
- Investigate domestic hot water heating solutions to enhance Daikin's market position.
- Lead initiatives to integrate smart home technology with Daikin products.
- Coordinate with various Daikin subsidiaries to leverage technology platforms.
- Develop strategies for lobbying initiatives with industry organizations and government agencies.
- Create product direction in collaboration with Product Managers and Sales teams.
- Contribute to product development meetings to identify new opportunities.
- Enhance the Stage Gate 5 Process for measuring product success and effectiveness.
- Lead team members in executing product and service initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product development and innovation.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in relevant industries.
- Strong knowledge of product life cycle management, including innovation and deployment.
- Proficiency in marketing, sales, engineering, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure.
- Experience in a global setting with cross-time zone collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required; MBA preferred.
