• Support the university's plan to expand its research enterprise.
• Cultivate multidisciplinary groups of faculty to develop innovative research ideas.
• Provide oversight and assessment of university-wide interdisciplinary research centers.
• Manage processes for limited submission opportunities and proposals requiring institutional cost share.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in research administration.
• Demonstrated record of high-level research and scholarship.
• Ability to represent the research vision and strategies internally and externally.
• Experience in developing cross-disciplinary research ventures.
• Strong collaboration skills with deans, administrators, faculty, and external constituents.
• Understanding of research faculty needs and support mechanisms.
• Experience with complex agreements and extramural research initiatives.
• Strong understanding of research financial management, budgeting, and compliance.
• Knowledge of sponsored program operations and federal agency support programs.
• Experience in technology development, patents, licensing, and industry engagement.
