About the position

The Vice President of HR Operations is a pivotal member of the HR Leadership Team, directly reporting to the Chief People Officer. This role is responsible for leading the HR technology, operations, and data and analytics strategy and execution for the HR function. The Vice President will oversee the HR Technology, Shared Services (HR Assist), and HR Analytics functions and teams, ensuring that these areas are aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives. This position requires a strategic mindset to partner with key stakeholders in designing, deploying, and maintaining processes, programs, and policies that support a global HR team. In this role, the Vice President will manage complex projects that may involve multiple HR practices and will lead and manage change across the business. They will provide strategic oversight and direction for the HR Technology, Analytics, and Operations functions, working closely with IT and the HR leadership team to deliver on the technology strategy that enables the HR function to offer efficient and proactive services. The Vice President will evolve and maintain the technology roadmap for HR systems and applications, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support business growth. Additionally, the Vice President will manage relationships with HR technology vendors and service providers, evaluating vendor capabilities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). They will develop and align HR analytics strategies with overall business goals, translating organizational objectives into actionable analytics initiatives. Continuous improvement in HR processes and practices will be driven through evidence-based insights, with a focus on evaluating the effectiveness of HR programs using data-driven methodologies. The Vice President will define key metrics and performance indicators for company health, culture, and performance evaluation, developing dashboards and reports to track these metrics and provide actionable insights to the HR team and business leaders. Compliance with all employment laws and regulations is a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that the company adheres to equal employment opportunity laws, wage and hour laws, and health and safety regulations. The Vice President will oversee the collection, storage, and organization of HR-related data, ensuring data integrity and security while complying with relevant regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. They will enhance and evolve the Shared Services model, which serves as the first point of contact for all employees and managers regarding HR-related inquiries, defining and monitoring service level agreements and key metrics to improve efficiencies. Furthermore, the Vice President will oversee successful benefits, leave, and payroll administration, coordinating with various business and HR leaders to implement, monitor, and drive improvements in HR processes. They will partner with senior leaders to drive change, enhance organizational effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing related strategies. The Vice President will also be accountable for talent management and navigating employee-related issues that impact morale and the work environment, ensuring a high-performing team through effective hiring, succession planning, performance management, and employee development. Finally, they will manage priorities and workload distribution, remove barriers to progress, establish the function's budget according to strategy and expected business performance results, and provide forecasts and variance explanations as needed.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Human Resource Operations or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in HR management or business administration is preferred.
