About the position

The Vice President of Innovation at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is responsible for leading the design and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance the airport experience at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL). This role focuses on reimagining passenger journeys, improving operational efficiency, and integrating advanced technologies. Reporting directly to the Chief Creative Officer, the Vice President will collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to drive creative solutions that position the airport as a leader in innovation and design excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative strategies for the airport experience.
  • Champion initiatives focused on reimagining passenger journeys and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Identify emerging trends and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Drive creative solutions that position the airport as a leader in innovation.
  • Shape the future of air travel by delivering exceptional, innovative, and human-centered experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
  • Ten years of increasingly responsible experience in managing a major information technology function.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Expertise in managing the innovation process in smart infrastructure and customer experience design.
  • Experience in large-scale operational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level analytical skills and documentation skills.
  • Broad-based operational perspective to lead innovation initiatives.
  • Strong track record of leading innovation and creative strategy in complex organizations.
  • Ability to engage and lead team members effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with future-focused technologies such as AI and IoT.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
