About the position

The Videographer/Photographer at Danco will play a crucial role in creating video and photographic content to support the company's core products and strategic growth objectives. This position involves a mix of video production, post-production, and photography, with a focus on delivering high-quality visual materials that enhance the company's marketing efforts. The role offers opportunities for creativity and growth within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, transports, sets up, and operates production equipment for field and studio productions.
  • Work with the Creative Team on storyboards/scripts and production schedules.
  • Manage talent pool and provide options to the Manager.
  • Operates video cameras, on location or in the studio.
  • Capture or produce audio segments.
  • Edit video including transitions and text effects.
  • Produce videos for ecommerce, social media & customer service.
  • Edit video & audio segments on a variety of digital formats.
  • Manage acquisition of stock video, audio or graphic elements as needed.
  • Produce product photography, on location or in studio.
  • Conduct 360 product photography using 360 software.
  • Perform image post-production, color adjustments, retouching and clipping paths.
  • Resize and save images to various digital formats.
  • Maintain photo library and integrity of naming structure within the archive.
  • Complete trouble and preventive maintenance reports on video and audio production equipment.
  • Assist in repair and upkeep of studio and production sets and properties.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and studio production schedules.
  • Manage Master Folder Archiving of all elements.
  • Demonstrate clear, collaborative and respectful communication across the company.
  • Leverage project management tools to facilitate communication.
  • Embrace feedback and encourage collaborative input from all levels of the organization.
  • Problem solve and adapt quickly as needed.
  • Stay updated on new trends in video and photography.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or accredited degree in video production, digital media, media production or digital film.
  • 1-5 years of professional videography experience.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.
  • Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting and associated production equipment.
  • Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.
  • Proficiency in industry standard design software on a Mac platform: Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere.
  • Capable of working well under pressure, effectively manage time and schedules, while maintaining accuracy and quality design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience lighting reflective surfaces like metal or willingness to learn how.
