About the position

FFVA Mutual has an exciting opportunity for a workers' compensation virtual auditor. The selected Premium Auditor will be responsible for performing virtual audits via phone and email with policyholders across multiple states. This role requires a high level of organization and self-motivation, as well as excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team setting and will have the flexibility to work either remotely or in an office environment. The Premium Auditor will report directly to the Premium Audit Manager and is expected to uphold the standards of FFVA Mutual Insurance Company. In this position, the auditor will schedule audit appointments with policyholders, ensuring that audits are conducted in a timely and accurate manner. The audits will involve handling premiums ranging from $5,000 to $40,000. The auditor will be responsible for obtaining and reviewing necessary records to ensure proper classification of business operations and premium development. Additionally, the auditor will handle audit disputes and will need to effectively communicate with insureds and agency personnel throughout the audit process. The role also requires the auditor to utilize their technical expertise to manage complex audit issues while performing the workers' compensation audit. Staying current with NCCI rules and state statutes is essential. The auditor will collaborate with the Premium Audit Manager to meet all departmental goals. There will be occasional travel to the company headquarters in Maitland, FL for training and company events.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules audit appointments with policyholders; conducting them timely and accurately.
  • Handles audits between $5,000 and $40,000 in premium.
  • Obtains and reviews necessary records for proper classification of business operations and premium development.
  • Handles audit disputes and effectively communicates with insureds and agency personnel.
  • Corresponds with insured, agent, and company personnel as needed throughout the audit process.
  • Utilizes technical expertise to handle complex audit issues while performing the workers' compensation audit.
  • Keeps current with NCCI rules and state statutes.
  • Works with the Premium Audit Manager in meeting all department goals.
  • Travels to company HQ in Maitland, FL for training and company events.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience completing workers' compensation audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Insurance.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Resides in FL, GA, or NC.
