The Visual Content Creator at Virginia Tech's College of Architecture, Arts, and Design is responsible for producing, shooting, and editing video and photographic content that showcases the college's activities. Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop storytelling ideas for video and photo content.
• Produce, shoot, and edit video and photographic content for various platforms.
• Collaborate with the communications team and other stakeholders on projects.
• Fulfill daily video and photo assignments that support college branding and campaigns.
• Repurpose content for different platforms, ensuring it meets audience needs.
• Organize and curate video and photo assets for various purposes.
• Advise on best practices for visual content production across the college.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in video or film production, photography, visual communications, journalism, new media, fine arts, or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in digital videography and photography, including professional techniques and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver polished content in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency with Canon DSLRs for shooting images and video.
• Portfolio showcasing expertise in photography, videography, and editing.
