About the position

This position involves providing administrative and receptionist duties, as well as clerical assistance needed by the department. The role requires answering incoming telephone calls and forwarding them to the appropriate staff. The candidate will prioritize learning how to conduct assessments of office needs for scheduling and coordinating work where needed. Attendance at mandatory training is required, and adherence to Sage Memorial Hospital's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures is essential. Additional duties may include disinfecting surfaces, tidying up clinical areas, delivering confidential files, organizing documents, shredding documents, accompanying clients, coordinating schedules, and performing supportive duties as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative/receptionist duties and clerical assistance.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and forward calls to appropriate staff.
  • Conduct assessments of office needs for scheduling and coordinating work.
  • Attend mandatory training.
  • Follow Sage Memorial Hospital rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Disinfect surfaces for patient care and employee use.
  • Tidy up clinical areas for the next patient.
  • Deliver highly confidential files to and from the department.
  • Organize files and documents in the assigned department.
  • Shred documents as needed per office regulations.
  • Accompany clients and/or family members to appropriate areas.
  • Coordinate weekly schedule with immediate supervisor.
  • Assist with tasks while employed within a department.
  • Perform all other supportive duties as requested.
  • Handle garden tools or non-mechanical tools as required.
  • Use office machines such as copier, fax, telephone, or shredder.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in High School or has a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • Must be fourteen (14) years of age or older.
  • Must successfully pass the Human Resources Onboarding Process.
  • Obtain Employee Health clearance.
