About The Position

The City of Dublin provides many opportunities for volunteerism in our community. Volunteers can engage in various activities across different departments, including city events, heritage parks, senior centers, sports leagues, and community service projects. The volunteer program offers flexibility to match the needs of the city with the skills and interests of volunteers.

Requirements

• Fingerprinting is required for all volunteer staff aged 18 years or older.
• Commitment to volunteer for a minimum of three hours per week for certain roles.
• Willingness to help out in various capacities, especially during community service events.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in educational programs or historical interpretation for Heritage Park.
• Interest in working with youth and families in recreational settings.
• Ability to work in a team environment and engage with community members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with city events and festivals, providing support for various activities.
• Conduct tours and provide educational programs at Dublin Heritage Park and Museums.
• Support seniors at the Dublin Senior Center through clerical work and activities.
• Coach youth basketball teams or serve as referees/scorekeepers in Dublin Sports Leagues.
• Participate in community service projects during Dublin Pride Week, assisting with home maintenance, school beautification, and park improvements.
