About the position

The Lead Asset Manager at SitusAMC is responsible for the overall management of a client's portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for all portfolio management activities. This role involves overseeing multiple servicers and strategic portfolio initiatives, ensuring that client objectives are met through effective asset strategy deployment. The Lead Asset Manager will coordinate with various teams to define asset-level strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, while also focusing on enhancing performance and quality within the Asset Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a client's portfolio post-acquisition, serving as the primary contact for portfolio management and servicing oversight.
• Oversee multiple servicers, trusts, and strategic portfolio initiatives across all asset classes.
• Coordinate servicing transfers, operational reviews, remittance reconciliations, and data reconciliations.
• Render workout decisions and identify servicing performance irregularities or exceptions.
• Drive enhanced performance by the client's servicer through regular collaboration and reporting.
• Develop portfolio campaign strategies and customized reporting for clients.
• Ensure quality and performance of the Asset Management Team is maintained.

Requirements

• College degree or training in finance/mortgage banking preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience, with at least 2+ years in an AVP level role or equivalent.
• Experience in mortgage/secondary market or commercial real estate asset management is required.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytical ability and strategic thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with loan documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with GSE and regulatory compliance guidelines.
