About the position
The VP of E-commerce at WillScot is a strategic leadership role focused on enhancing the digital experience for customers and employees. This position involves overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive eCommerce strategy, building platforms from the ground up, and driving digital adoption across the organization. The leader will collaborate with various departments to align digital solutions with business goals and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive digital experience strategy and multi-year digital platform roadmap.
- Formulate the future digital vision while managing day-to-day performance to support growth goals.
- Leverage consumer and market trends to trial and test new eCommerce concepts and technologies.
- Develop strategies to drive awareness and adoption of digital tools among customers.
- Oversee the integration of technology solutions such as content management systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Assess current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive data-driven decision making within the eCommerce function.
- Collaborate with IT, sales, marketing, and other departments to align on eCommerce solutions.
- Provide leadership and direction to teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in digital product development, particularly in eCommerce.
- Significant experience launching B2B eCommerce platforms and AI/ML driven digital solutions.
- Tech-savvy with experience in SAP, Salesforce, and Snowflake data warehouse.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Ability to create compelling business cases for digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven negotiation and influence skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and collaboration.
- Results-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
- Experience with in-house software development teams and vendor management.
- Data science mastery is a plus.
