About the position

The VP Operational Risk Coordinator for Deposit Operations at Bank OZK is responsible for coordinating and conducting Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for the Deposit Operations and Digital Operations teams. This role involves managing risk-related activities that align with corporate programs and business plans, providing guidance on risk matters, and actively participating in risk management efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation, training, monitoring, and reporting of Operational Risk Management programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments of new products and services and participate in implementation status meetings.
  • Gather documentation and participate in audits, assisting in preparing responses for findings.
  • Track and validate management's corrective actions identified by corporate risk management monitoring activities and audits.
  • Create and maintain procedures indicating key controls that mitigate key risks.
  • Conduct control design effectiveness assessments and develop a test program to reassess risk quarterly.
  • Assist Operations management with timely completion of all operational risk reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate operational risk training and awareness activities for the Operations team.
  • Provide senior management with operational risk data for decision-making.
  • Manage testing schedules to ensure all tasks and documentation are completed within established timeframes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or commensurate work experience required.
  • 3+ years of work experience preparing operational risk assessments and reports.
  • 5+ years of Deposit Operations or Digital Operations experience required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking and financial services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
