The VP, Specialty Retail Marketing Leader will spearhead the marketing organization for retail financing programs specifically tailored for the specialty retail industry. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies and tactics that align with our retail partners' business objectives while also driving Synchrony's growth metrics. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both the Synchrony sales organization and our retail partners to foster incremental cardholder growth and enhance card usage. This position not only requires a strategic mindset but also a hands-on approach to leading and developing a team of direct reports. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing dynamic annual growth strategies and plans in partnership with business and client teams. You will lead the development of new client financing program value propositions and go-to-market strategies, establishing and nurturing key relationships at senior levels within client organizations. A deep understanding of clients' business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendars will be essential to effectively incorporate these elements into the planning process to achieve set objectives. Your responsibilities will also include optimizing marketing spend, identifying portfolio segments for targeted growth, and managing all aspects of the value proposition, including acquisition offers, lifecycle campaigns, and loyalty programs. You will be tasked with ensuring program profitability and penetration through continuous enhancements, driving programs that operate effectively in a multi-channel environment, and ensuring that digital assets are optimized. Additionally, you will monitor and manage the performance of all key credit and marketing metrics against the plan, assist in the development of the Synchrony Financial planning cycle, and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
